10. Elite Special Teams
Simply put, the Vols are loaded on special teams. Evan Berry (kick returner) and Cam Sutton (punt returner) are two of the best in the nation at their respective positions. It’s even arguable that Alvin Kamara is one of the best punt returners in the nation too, and he’s the backup at punt returner.
Trevor Daniel emerged as a weapon at punter last season and very well could end the season with All-SEC honors. Aaron Medley had a rough start last year, but rebounded to be one of the more consistent kickers in the league down the stretch.
And don’t forget the improved depth and athleticism all over the field that will pay dividends in the return and coverage games. This could be one of the best overall special teams units in school history.
