Even though the Vols are feverishly building their 2017 recruiting class this summer, they also reportedly made an addition to their 2016 class on Monday.
Running back Jeremy Lewis will enroll in summer courses and be on the team when fall camp starts in August, according to multiple reports, including one from 247Sports.
Lewis is a 6-2, 192-pound back back Lone Grove, Okla., who runs a 4.54 40-yard dash, according to his Hudl profile. He committed to Arkansas State last summer, but never signed with the Red Wolves.
Tennessee had just four healthy scholarship running backs on the roster prior to the arrival of Lewis – Jalen Hurd, Alvin Kamara, John Kelly and incoming freshman Carlin Fils-Aime. Joseph Young, who signed late in the 2015 class and has dealt with injury concerns, is no longer listed on UT’s official roster.
