Several Vols Mentioned in SEC Superlatives From PFF

Hall Jones-1

Pro Football Focus has highlighted several Tennessee players this offseason for their work on film last season.

In a recent look at some SEC Superlatives by the site, there were some names that you might expect being mentioned like Cam Sutton and Alvin Kamara. But there was one that maybe you wouldn’t – offensive tackle Chance Hall.

Sutton was honored as the runner-up for best returner. Kamara was the runner-up in both toughest running back to tackle, and most productive running back out of the backfield. Ethan Wolf was a runner-up for best hands, and the article notes that he was one of seven players in the SEC that had a perfect drop rate.

But perhaps the biggest surprise on the list was then-true freshman tackle Chance Hall, who came in as the second-best pass blocker in the entire league. There was a little bit of a limited sample size for Hall, who started seven games after injuries forced him into the lineup midseason.

Still, that’s an encouraging sign for Hall and the Vols as they look to solidify the offensive tackle position in 2016.
