Another Florida Gator football player fired yet another salvo towards the Vols. This time, it happened at SEC Media Days.
Florida linebacker Jarrad Davis was asked about the Gators’ annual rivalry game against Tennessee during his interview with the media on the first day of SEC Media Days. Davis replied with “It’s always one of the funnest games of the year. Because we win.”

Davis isn’t the first Gator this offseason to take shots at the Vols. Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor has trash talked the Vols multiple times since the 2015 season ended, getting one of his teammates in on the act as well. Davis is just the latest to rub the Vols’ losing streak in their face.
Even if Vol fans get angry at what Davis said, he’s right. The Vols have lost 11 consecutive times to the Gators and haven’t won since James Wilhoit kicked a game-winning field goal in the final seconds of the 2004 contest between the two teams.
But with all this bulletin board material and the losing streak itself, the Vols should have plenty of fuel to win when the Gators come to Neyland on September 24th.
