The trip to College Station is going to be a tricky one. On paper, UT will likely be favored in that Oct. 8 matchup. But the Aggies, while surrounded by quarterback attrition and controversy this offseason, still have a ton of talent on the roster and an intriguing option at QB in Trevor Knight.

More than that though, UT simply hasn’t had much success going into unfamiliar stadiums and beating talented teams on the road. The last true road win of any kind against anybody other than an SEC East team was at Memphis in 2010. The last one against a Power 5 school (again, excluding SEC East teams that UT plays every year) was at Mississippi State in 2007. The atmosphere in College Station will be much more intimidating than it was in Starkville. So while UT certainly has the talent to win this game, a loss against A&M would certainly set UT back to some extent.
