4-Star Receiver Decommits From UT

Nixon

Four-star receiver K.D. Nixon decommitted from Tennessee on Sunday evening via Twitter, before later deleting that tweet.

He is, however, no longer listed as a commitment on 247Sports, Rivals.com and Scout.com. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound receiver chose the Vols over offers from Oklahoma State, Missouri, California, Arizona State and over a dozen others.

Nixon, ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 290 overall player in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite ranking, was the highest ranked receiver in the Vols’ class, though UT also has commitments from receivers Princeton Fant and Jacquez Jones.

Tennessee now has 17 commitments in a class ranked No. 9 in the nation in the 247Sports Composite.
