He’s from Louisiana, plays in Tennessee, and very well could end up a Georgia Bulldog. Five-star athlete Jacoby Stevens set a commitment date for July 19th, then quickly backed off that date in order to take some pressure off of his recruitment. The Oakland athlete can play anywhere on the field, but looks to play defensive back at the collegiate level.
He released a list of top schools in no particular order that contained both Tennessee and Clemson along with Georgia. He has also noted that his “top school” changes often. Stevens has also mentioned that the commitment of in-state athletes like Maleik Gray and Latrell Bumphus will be boosts for Butch Jones in this one. However, Kirby Smart’s current commits are doing an excellent job of pulling Stevens from the Tigers and the Vols.
