Friday Top 10: Clemson-UT Recruiting Battles

1. Tee Higgins

Advantage: Tennessee

Tee is the Key. Five-star receiver Tee Higgins will be an absolute powerhouse for whichever offense is lucky enough to have him. He’s a freak athlete with a commanding presence and has even discussed the possibility of being a two-sport athlete at the collegiate level. After the Oak Ridge native backed off of his commitment from the Vols in February, most seemed to believe he would be following Amari Rodgers to Clemson. Higgins released his top five at the end of May, featuring Tennessee at the top spot and Clemson just behind.

He continues to show up at UT camps and has discussed playing alongside recent UT commitment Maleik Gray. The opportunity to play in front of hometown friends and family is very important to Higgins, who also loves the Vols’ coaching staff. The battle for one of the biggest names in the class will likely be a long one, but it appears to be Butch Jones’ battle to lose.
