Status
If it weren’t for the recruiting reach that Tennessee now has with Bob Shoop, Wade might not even be considering Tennessee. Being from Pennsylvania, Wade is currently expected to stay close to home with Ohio State and Penn State as the early favorites. But with Shoop recently coming from Penn State, he has Wade’s attention.

How He Fits
Not only is Lamont Wade a lockdown corner, he is also electric with the ball in his hands. Not to mention he has great football intelligence. His versatility combined with his smarts make him a toy for Bob Shoop if he were to come to Tennessee. He could play corner or nickelback and would at least be worth considering as the occasional scat back for jet sweeps. But make no mistake about it. Wade’s bread and butter is shutting down opposing receiver’s.
