DeAngelo Gibbs is the cousin of incoming Vol freshman Nigel Warrior, which definitely hasn’t hurt Tennessee in their recruitment of Gibbs. He holds over 30 scholarships to schools all across the nation but the race is really between Georgia and Tennessee.

How He Fits
Gibbs can do it all. He can pluck passes out of the air. He can deliver violent hits. He can even make the occasional trick-play pass as seen in his highlight film. He truly is an athlete. As to what position he plays at the next level, it has yet to be determined. For Tennessee though, don’t be surprised to see him brought in as a corner first. Especially if the Vols are able to bring in Tee Higgins at receiver and considering the future departure of guys like Cam Sutton and Justin Martin, their need will be greater at cornerback.
