7. Jaylen Harris
Being from Cleveland, OH means Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes are the obvious favorite to land 4-star receiver Jaylen Harris. But Butch Jones has a few ties to Ohio as well and won’t exactly roll over when it comes to recruiting a player he likes.
At 6’5″ 210-pounds, Harris already has the prototypical receiver frame. Throw in his highlight film and you see why he has 20 scholarship offers from across the country. It’s no secret that receivers at Tennessee haven’t exactly been the focal point of the offense as of late, so like any receiver being recruited by Tennessee, it’s a “wait and see” game. And even if Josh Dobbs throws for 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns, it still might not be enough to pry Harris away from Ohio State. But Orange Carpet Day will be a good start.
