Friday Top 10: Orange Carpet Day Visitors

3. DeAngelo Gibbs

Nowadays, being an early enrollee is almost like having a redshirt season without taking a year of eligibility away.

Perhaps that’s why 4-star cornerback DeAngelo Gibbs has one of the most extensive scholarship lists in the country with 33 offers. Odds are, if you are a fan of a Power-5 school, your team has offered Gibbs a scholarship, and for good reason. The kid is one of the best high school players in the country.

Gibbs’ cousin is incoming 2016 Tennessee recruit Nigel Warrior, who is the son of former Vols standout Dale Carter. Which makes Gibbs, at least in part, a legacy prospect. Every school in America wants Gibbs on their campus right now, but Tennessee will be his first visit in nearly two months since he visited Georgia in April. The staff at Tennessee will be pulling out all the stops to get Gibbs’ attention and don’t be surprised if he leaves Knoxville seriously considering the Vols.
