Tennessee probably has more history with the Fighting Irish than any other team on this list. But it’s been

over a decade since the two teams have met.

Notre Dame and Tennessee haven’t met since 2005, but the two schools have quite the history. Whether it was the Miracle at Southbend in 1991 or close contests in 1990 and 2004, the Vols and Irish have had some epic battles over the years.

It’s about past due for these two teams to meet up. The two schools went 11 years from 1979 to 1990 without playing, and it’ll be even longer than that between meetings now unless the two were to play in a bowl game or College Football Playoff game this year. And to top it off, the two teams each have four victories against the other. It’s time to break the tie.
