Status
Eric Crosby committed to Tennessee in late April over some of the best programs in the country. Although he primarily plays tackle, he is athletic enough to slide out to end if needed on occasion. And to top it off, he can even play running back from time to time – something he was told by Tennessee he could try when he arrives to campus. He might not be a consensus five-star recruit just yet, but make no mistake about it, he is one of the gems of this class.

 How He Fits

Crosby committed to the Vols in April over some of the best teams in the country. But his sheer athleticism and versatility make him a future star for any team. Specifically for Tennessee’s defense though, he will be likely be utilized all over the field at defensive tackle and occasionally defensive end and even tailback.

Crosby’s film is both intriguing and exciting. He beats opposing linemen with both speed and strength. And for a near 300-pounder, he can run the ball pretty well. He may not start immediately since Kahlil McKenzie and Shy Tuttle will still be around, but Crosby has the potential to be something special for the Vols.
