Cordavien Suggs
Offensive lineman – 2017 Class
6-7, 280 pounds
Neptune Beach, Fla. (Fletcher)
Other top offers
South Carolina, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Louisville
Status
Tennessee liked the Sunshine State offensive lineman enough in February of 2016 to extend an offer and since that time, many more have rolled in for him. The Vols, however, were in on him fairly early and he seems to appreciate that as he shows UT a lot of love on social media. It’s too early to say exactly where the Vols stand in his pecking order, but it’s likely near the top.

How He Fits
Suggs shows some similarities to Nathan Niehaus and Marcus Tatum – a couple tall, athletic tackles the Vols signed in the 2016 class. Like those two, Suggs might need some time to fill out his frame and add some power in the weight room, but he check all the boxes in terms of having the height, arm length and athleticism to turn into a solid SEC player.
Butch Jones has shown that he likes to find those types of players and then redshirt them and develop them. Perhaps Suggs is the next to fit that mold.
