9. Alexis Johnson will return… eventually
JUCO defensive tackle signee Alexis Johnson was been suspended indefinitely following an arrest for aggravated assault and false imprisonment. The latter of those two was dropped in April, and the former was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor that, barring any legal trouble, will be dropped in October. Following the changes, Tennessee Athletic Department spokesman Ryan Robinson said that there were “no status changes at this moment,” regarding the suspension. It seems that Johnson is in a much better legal situation at this point. Whether it’s October or beforehand, the newcomer will be back and will add some much-needed depth to the defensive tackle position.
