Status
Rogers earned an offer from Tennessee in the spring – landing one of his first offers from a top program at that point – and jumped at the opportunity, committing to the Vols on March 7. Since that point, he’s received an offer from Mississippi State, an in-state school for him, but seems to still be solid to the Vols.

How He Fits
Rogers was an extremely productive tight end in 2015, piling up 81 catches, 1462 yards and 19 touchdowns during his junior season. His film shows his versatility as he often splits out as a wide receiver, but can also be an in-line tight end or an H-back. He regularly makes tough catches in traffic, rarely goes down on first contact and is a very willing blocker, though he’ll need a little more size and strength to do that regularly at the next level.
Tennessee really only has one proven commodity at tight end that is scheduled to be on the roster in 2017 in Ethan Wolf, who will be a senior at that point. Rogers has the opportunity to come in, learn the ropes for a year and then compete with younger guys such as Austin Pope and Devante Brooks in 2018 and beyond.
