5. Virginia Tech (Bristol Motor Speedway; Bristol, TN)
Justin Fuente, who had enormous success at Memphis last season, takes over for legendary coach Frank Beamer at Tech and will have the responsibility for retooling a program that had a rare off year in 2015.
The neutral site and unique venue makes the Battle at Bristol tough to project. Tech brings back a lot of its skill players, but has some questions at quarterback and on the defensive line. The Hokies look like a decent ACC squad, though, and in this setting, anything could happen.
