It didn’t take long for Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers to organize their first satellite camp after the NCAA overturned its previous ruling prohibiting them.
According to the Trent Miles Football Camp website, Tennessee is set to join Georgia State’s coaching staff in Atlanta on June 13th to host the camp and the cost per player will be $51.25.
Although Jones has been openly against satellite camps from the start, he has made mention of the program’s intention to follow suit and hold them if the NCAA continued to allow them. Along with the Volunteers, several other schools have already booked camps with Georgia State including Southern California, Mizzou, Ole Miss, and NC State.
Update: Butch Jones announced at the Big Orange Caravan stop in Nashville on Tuesday evening that the Vols will also be holding a satellite camp at Tennessee State University in Nashville on June 5.
