Status
Although he’s a legacy player as the son of national championship-winning QB Tee Martin, Amari Rodgers has never felt like much of a Tennessee lean during his recruitment. And in mid-February of 2016, Rodgers committed to Clemson. The Vols will certainly keep the lines of communication with him as a legacy player with local ties, however.

 How He Fits

Rodgers may not be the biggest receiver on the field at any given time, but he is stout and has plenty of speed. He also has great hands and knows how to make defenders miss in space.

His film shows why the top colleges around the country want him. He can be a team’s No. 1 option and can line up at multiple spots on the line. The Vols would love to get him, especially since he’s in their own back yard, but the odds are stacked against them at this point.
