RTI Recruiting Profiles: Running Backs

Trey Sermon

SermonRunning back – 2017 Class

Marietta, Ga. (Sprayberry)

Other top offers
Oklahoma (committed), Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan

Status
The Vols made the top six for Trey Sermon before he committed to Oklahoma in late April. Given the need at the position for UT and some of the early interest from the top running back in the state of Georgia, expect UT to keep the lines of communication open going forward and to try to get Sermon back on campus at some point.

 How He Fits

Sermon does a little bit of everything for his high school team – taking direct snaps, splitting out wide and playing the traditional running back spot as well. He looks, and runs, a little bit like former Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon on the field – with good balance and a combination of power and straight-line speed that makes him one of the top RB prospects in the nation.
