RTI Recruiting Profiles: Running Backs

Travis Etienne

Etienne Running back – 2017 Class
5-11, 200 pounds
Jennings, La. (Jennings)

Other top offers
Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Texas A&M

Status
Etienne has become a rising star on the recruiting circuit after running in the 4.4 range at multiple camps. He got an Alabama offer in April and quickly named the Tide his leader. And as always with a Louisiana-based prospect, LSU could be in play if the Tigers decide to jump in with an offer as well.

 How He Fits

Etienne is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands. It’s easy to see why he’s tested as one of the fastest running backs in the country. Whatever he lacks in ideal size, he certainly makes up for it with his ability to help as a traditional tailback, receiver or return man. He might not be an every-down back in the SEC, but he can help any team in the nation in a number of ways.

After rushing for nearly 3,000 yards as a junior in high school, it’s hard not to think that he’s very underrated by the recruiting services at this point.
