4. LB Quart’e Sapp
Sapp is athletic enough that the coaching staff actually gave him a quick look at safety when the Vols had major injury concerns there early in the season. He also appeared in four games as a special teams-focusing linebacker before a foot injury derailed his season last September. He technically played in one too many games to be eligible for the traditional medical hardship, but UT will likely make an appeal, like it did for Dillon Bates, and would most likely get an extra year of eligibility for the former four-star recruit, making him a redshirt freshman in 2016 if all goes according to plan.
He’s another player that benefitted from a lot of work in spring practice with Bates and Jalen Reeves-Maybin out.

Isn’t Jones the guy who left for Colorado? What’s his commitment level?
