The 10 Best Recruits of the Butch Jones Era

7. Todd Kelly Jr.

Todd Kelly Jr-1-2

Another member of the 2014 class, Todd Kelly Jr. was yet another “legacy” recruit who came in with a father who had played for Tennessee in the past. But Kelly Jr. has already started making his own mark for the Vols.

In two seasons, Kelly has six interceptions, proving that he has a nose for the football and a knack for making plays in the secondary. He’s only started five of the 26 games he’s played at safety, but he’s in line to be the season-long starter in 2016 barring injury or setback.

Kelly is a ball hawk who has already made a handful of clutch interceptions and plays as a young safety. Now as a junior, he’s poised to make a name for himself nationally.
