1. QB Dak Prescott/Mississppi State
While draft analysts break down top QBs such as Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Paxton Lynch and even Christian Hackenberg and Connor Cook, Prescott, one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in SEC history, isn’t getting quite as much buzz.
And, yes, he needs to work on his mechanics a bit and has some questions, but in a very imperfect quarterback class, a team looking for a project to develop for a year or two before giving him a shot as a starter would be wise to snatch Prescott in the third or fourth round. He has the size, the athleticism, the toughness and the pure arm strength to be an NFL starter. Clean up a few things and he could end up looking like a steal in a couple years.
