Tennessee starting quarterback Josh Dobbs has been in the news a lot recently for his acts of kindness and charity towards young Vol fans. One such fan, young A.J. Cucksey, has been visited by Dobbs before on Christmas day last year. But Dobbs wasn’t done surprising the young cancer patient.
According to the Facebook page “Prayers for AJ Cucksey” dedicated to A.J.’s condition, the young child “developed some problems with his coordination and walking” while on a family trip to Disney World in October of 2014. His family cut the trip short and took him to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital where it was discovered A.J. had multiple tumors in his brain.
Dobbs has fostered a relationship with the young Vol fan, and he surprised him on a second occasion this week.
Special Spaces, according to their Twitter, is “a non-profit organization providing dream room makeovers creating healthier living opportunities for children with life threatening illnesses.” They helped put together a room for A.J. as a surprise to him. And as an even bigger surprise, Josh Dobbs was waiting for A.J. in the room.
