Overall
By design, spring games will never truly be fulfilling for fans. If one side dominates, that leaves questions about the others. So there’s not a ton you can truly take away from the game other than a few guys looking good and some general thoughts on specific units. The good news: There was a strong crowd, plenty of recruits and some commitments, nobody appeared to get seriously injured and a few players showed some promise. The bad news: The surprises were duds and the Vols really didn’t really get to build a ton of cohesion due to injuries.
Titles aren’t won in the spring, however, so consider Saturday a productive practice and a chance for fans to get a small sip of college football as they now must wait several months for the real thing.
