The nation’s top wide receiver, according to 247Sports’ rankings, is visiting Tennessee on Thursday afternoon with friends and fellow prospects (safety) Jaylen Kelly-Powell and (guard) Jordan Reid to watch the Vols practice and visit with the coaching staff.

Finding more elite receivers has been a priority for the past couple years on the recruiting trail, and Peoples-Jones, a five-star prospect from Cass Technical in Detroit certainly would qualify as that. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver has a massive offer list with the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Clemson and LSU among some of the top programs who have offered him.
As always, it will be tough to get a top Michigan prospect out of the state with Jim Harbaugh up there, but the Vols have been recruiting him hard for awhile and at least have some level of shot in this one.
