The Vols are holding their annual Pro Day on Wednesday morning at their indoor facility. With no sure-fire draft picks participating, the storylines revolve more around guys trying to prove they’re worth a late-round pick or even an opportunity to get into an NFL camp.

It’ll obviously be a different story next year with the likes of Cam Sutton, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Joshua Dobbs and possibly underclassmen such as Jalen Hurd, Derek Barnett, Alvin Kamara and maybe others taking the stage to bump their draft stock.

The overall quality of prospects between this year and next might be one of the most telling statements about the differences between the Derek Dooley and Butch Jones eras at Tennessee.

The show goes on, however, on Wednesday, and as Justin Coleman proved last year with the Patriots, there could be a diamond in the rough in this bunch that could go on to have a successful NFL career. Here are a few things to know today:

Participants: Every graduated senior off the 2015 roster with the exception of punter Nate Renfro and center Mack Crowder will be participating. In addition, early entry Marquez North and 2014 senior Jacob Gilliam, who couldn’t participate last year due to various injuries, are also testing. Pig Howard, who was dismissed from the program midseason last year, is also participating.
