If not Wade, then perhaps his replacement at UTC, Matt McCall, could be a name to keep in mind. McCall was nearly flawless in his first season as a head coach in 2015-16, winning the SoCon title and earning the Mocs a trip to the NCAA tournament. He has SEC ties after working under Billy Donovan at Florida for several years in various positions, and could be the up-and-comer who knows the area and the league well enough to be a good fit.
