Tommy Amaker, Harvard
If anybody understands the demands of building a program at a tough academic school, it’s Amaker, who has thrived at Harvard over the past few years. This past season (14-16) was a bit of a setback, but Harvard went to the NCAA tournament the previous four years with a couple of wins in that span. Before that, however, Amaker only took one team to the NCAA tournament – his 1999-2000 Seton Hall squad – in his previous 14 years of coaching at Harvard, Michigan and Seton Hall. The former Duke standout and Coach K protege would make a lot of sense here and could be a great hire if he keeps his momentum rolling from his recent past at Harvard.
