The Vols have several big prospects in town to see practice and take in a visit around campus over the weekend. But perhaps none are bigger than the nation’s top quarterback, and overall player (according to 247Sports), in the 2018 class, Trevor Lawrence.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound quarterback from Cartersville, Ga., who has the Vols in his top three along with Clemson and Georgia, seems to be enjoying his visit thus far:

There’s still a long way to go until signing day in 2018, but the Vols are in a good spot with Lawrence, who holds offers from countless college football powers including Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU and many others.

Though the Vols are fairly stockpiled with young talent at the position right now, they currently don’t have any QB commitments in the 2017 class at that spot and could end up passing, perhaps in part to continue to entice Lawrence, in this cycle. Every other quarterback that will be on the 2016 roster will either be gone or heading into their third year on campus by the time Lawrence would arrive in Knoxville.

He has extremely impressive film from his sophomore year in high school:
