Recruiting Outlook: Looking Ahead at The Top Targets for 2017

Tight End

Ethan Wolf-1

The Tennessee Volunteers just finished the 2016 class by bringing in two very talented tight ends. And with guys like Ethan Wolf continuing to develop and showcase his skills, it could be useful in recruiting. Larry Scott brings a new dimension of coaching to the position and is already making his presence felt on the field and in the high schools. He’s even already helped Tennessee land one tight end for 2017 in Chase Rogers, but they still could try to sign at least one more. Here is one of the top targets they are looking at.

4* Matt Dotson: Cincinnati, OH | 6’5″ 235 lbs

Matt Dotson is the kind of player that has the potential to come in and play immediately wherever he goes. Luckily for Tennessee, they are among the top choices on his list along with Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State. Dotson brings an already-well-developed body frame and build for a tight end and would need minimal work in the weight room relatively speaking. If Scott can lure Dotson away from those Big 10 school to come to big orange country, he could be the future at the position.
