The Vols got 22 points and 11 rebounds from Wayne Chism and a huge blocked shot by J.P. Prince to advance past Evan Turner and Ohio State to the first Elite Eight in school history. ‘Big Baby’ Brian Williams was also somewhat of an unlikely hero, tipping in a late bucket to give the Vols the lead in the closing seconds, and finishing the evening with nine points and a dozen rebounds. Tennessee would narrowly fall to another Big Ten foe, Michigan State, in the next round, but this win over the Buckeyes – which avenged a 2007 Sweet 16 loss to OSU – goes down as one of the best victories in program history .
