Tennessee senior guard, Kevin Punter, who had his season cut short by a foot injury recently, qas selected Second-Team All-SEC by the league’s coaches on Tuesday afternoon.
Punter, who handled point guard duties for the Vols for much of the season despite limited experience at that spot in his career, finished the season sitting second in the SEC in average points per game (22.2), behind only Ole Miss guard Stefan Moody (23.1).
The Vols will open up the SEC Tournament as the No. 12 seed against No. 13 Auburn on Wednesday evening (8 pm ET; SEC Network).
