Rogers joins linebacker Mo Burnam as the only two players committed to the Vols in the 2017 class so far. He’ll also join 2016 signees Devante Brooks and Austin Pope on the roster at the tight end position. Ethan Wolf (junior), Jakob Johnson (junior) and Neiko Creamer (redshirt sophomore) are the other tight ends that project to be on the roster in 2017.
The 6-foot-3, 228-pound tight end, who also holds offers from California, Wake Forest, Colorado State, Memphis and several other schools, visited Tennessee for Junior Day over the weekend, named the Vols his leader and then made his decision quickly after that.
