The Vols picked up a commitment on Saturday night after hosting a big Junior Day the same day. And the commitment comes from the state of Georgia.
De’Morreal Burnam, a three-star inside linebacker from Conyers, GA, committed to the Vols Saturday night via Twitter. Burnam is currently rated as the No. 770 overall player in the country according to 247Sports and is the 29th overall inside linebacker in the country.

Burnam holds offers from Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina, and a handful of others right now. Burnam competed in the Georgia Junior Elite Classic in December of 2015 as one of the top juniors in the state of Georgia.
Despite Burnam’s lower rating, he appears to be moving up the rankings and is starting to catch the attention of other schools. The Vols offered him back on February 26th, and North Carolina followed suit on March 1st. Burnam is Tennessee’s lone commitment in the 2017 class as of now.
