5 Potential Breakout Players in 2016

Ethan Wolf-1

2. TE Ethan Wolf

Wolf has been a solid player in the Tennessee offense over his first two years on campus. Although he has put up good numbers over his freshman and sophomore years, Wolf will need to take another step in order to help out the Tennessee passing game. The Tennessee tight end hauled in 23 receptions for 301 yards last season, averaging just over 13 yards per catch. He has shown flashes of greatness, but 2016 could be the year that Wolf becomes a reliable piece of the offense.

Wolf has the talent to be a star. The 6 foot 6 junior has the size and intangibles to be a key contributor in an play-action scheme that features lots of downfield passing over the middle of the field. Wolf is the check-down player who will be matched up with a linebacker in the play action passing game. As teams pay more attention to the UT run game, it will give Wolf more opportunities to make some big plays.
