8. Kahlil McKenzie, Defensive Tackle
With fellow sophomore defensive tackle Shy Tuttle sitting out during the spring, the spotlight moves even more to Kahlil McKenzie. He needs to make himself a fixture at defensive tackle and shine in Tuttle’s absence more than any other defensive tackle on the roster. With Alexis Johnson’s status unknown and Kendal Vickers also sitting out this spring, McKenzie will be one of the few healthy defensive tackles on the field in the spring. And he’s likely to be counted on a lot in the 2016 season. McKenzie had a solid finish to his freshman campaign, and coaches would love to see him follow that up with some impressive spring practices.
