Defensive Line
The Vols’ defensive line might be the best group from top to bottom on the team. Obviously Derek Barnett holds down the fort with a 94 overall, but there aren’t many truly weak spots either. Kyle Phillips has great speed (88) and pursuit (80) to the ball. Kahlil McKenzie’s strength (90) is rarely matched. And newcomer Jonathan Kongbo has the potential to be just as good as Barnett off the edge (88 projected overall). Steve Stripling and new defensive coordinator Bob Shoop must be like kids in a candy store looking at all the talent that surrounds them.
