The state of Tennessee’s 2017 class could be one of the best in history, and the Vols are hoping to take advantage of that in what will be an important recruiting cycle.
One of the biggest names is LaVergne, Tenn., ‘athlete’ Maleik Gray, who is ranked as the No. 33 overall player in the nation by 247Sports. He gave the Vols some good news on Saturday.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Gray does a little bit of everything for his LaVergne High School team, including playing running back, wide receiver, safety and outside linebacker. He could project on either side of the ball in college.
Florida State and USC are two other top teams to watch for Gray, who also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and over a dozen other top programs.
