10. Setting the QB depth chart

Joshua Dobbs-1-6

Dobbs enters the offseason as the returning, and unquestioned, starter at the position. How does it shake out behind him, though? Quinten Dormady, who was the backup in 2015, enters as the presumed favorite to hold that same spot in 2016. But Sheriron Jones, who took a redshirt and then an unusual brief transfer-and-then-return route, will be back and in the conversation. Freshman Jarrett Guarantano is one of the most physically gifted QBs the Vols have brought on campus in awhile. There will be a lot of talent in that room, so it will be interesting to see how that shakes out behind Dobbs in what could be a preview of the race for the starting job in 2017.
