3. Replacing the safeties
The Vols bring most everybody back, but safety is one spot where there will be wholesale change – at least to an extent. Both starters, Brian Randolph and LaDarrell McNeil, are gone, but Tennessee does have a very experienced and capable replacement for one spot in Todd Kelly Jr., who has five career starts under his belt. The other spot could be up for grabs. Rising junior Evan Berry, a kick return superstar, certainly has the athleticism to be a starter and is the likely leader on campus right now. Watch out for incoming freshman Nigel Warrior, though, as a possibility as well, especially if Berry struggles any on defense over the offseason.
