5. Marquill Osborne, DB

Although he’s rated as top 200 player on 247Sports, Marquill Osborne has still managed to be undervalued by analysts and fans alike.

Once he committed many, many months ago, Osborne essentially fell off the map and didn’t make a lot of noise on the recruiting front for the Vols. He performed well alongside fellow Vol commit Jarrett Guarantano at Nike’s The Opening in the summer, but otherwise he didn’t draw much attention to himself.

But despite the radio silence, Osborne has the potential to contribute immediately as a freshman and beyond for the Vols.

At 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, Osborne isn’t the biggest body at cornerback on the field, but he is extremely athletic and has the ability to make plays in the secondary. And those are traits teams like Ohio State, Florida, Clemson, LSU, and Michigan all saw when they offered him a scholarship.

Osborne is an early enrollee, so that only helps his ability to learn quickly and contribute immediately. But even though he is a four-star, Osborne is still underrated for what he can do while at Tennessee.
