7. Tennessee continues to recruits JUCOs well
The Vols continue to clean up in the junior college ranks – grabbing four of the top 40 JUCO players in the nation, most notably No. 1 overall (per 247Sports Composite) prospect defensive end Jonathan Kongbo III. Defensive tackle Alexis Johnson is also the No. 2 overall DT in the junior college ranks. Butch Jones has recruited the junior college level exceptionally well the past couple years, bringing in players such as Von Pearson, Justin Martin and Alvin Kamara – all of whom have made an immediate impact. He’s hoping for similar results from Kongbo, Johnson, receiver Jeff George and cornerback D.J. Henderson in this class.
