5. ATH Tyler Byrd
The Army All-American cornerback/wide receiver has been a long-time Miami commitment, but that might be about to change this weekend. Byrd, who was recruited to Miami by Larry Scott, who is now Tennessee’s tight ends coach, is also teammates and roommates with Vol running back commitment Carlin Fils-Aime, who Byrd will be traveling to Knoxville with this weekend. Simply put: the Vols have a lot of people in their corner in this one and are in very good shape to land the top-100 player.
