3. The needs of the roster have been addressed
A top-flight quarterback to compete for the starting job in 2017? Check. Depth at tight end and receiver? Check, check. True offensive tackle body types? Check. Help on all three levels of the defense? Check again. This class didn’t have as many glaring needs as some of the past few, but there were a few spots that needed some depth and reinforcement. This class, so far, addressed almost all of them. Adding another safety (Warrior) and at least one more body on the defensive line (Kongbo, Brown, Chris Daniels, Tyler Clark, Jaquon Bailey) to go along with early enrollee Alexis Johnson are two areas that Tennessee is in good shape in as well.
