While there isn’t quite the hype around Tennessee’s 2016 recruiting class as there has been the last couple, there are still plenty of big names fans will want to see on the field or hear about in practice. And there are players who redshirted this past year that will draw plenty of attention too.

The Vols still have time to add more star power to their 2016 class, and they are setting up to have a strong close to this class. But even the names they currently have committed are drawing plenty of attention, most notably four-star quarterback Jarrett Guarantano. While he is likely a redshirt candidate this year, fans will eagerly await any news from practices about Guarantano and will want to know how he is progressing compared to Tennessee’s other quarterbacks.

Other incoming players that may actually get some action on the field are JUCO players such as defensive tackle Alexis Johnson, wide receiver Jeff George, and cornerback D.J. Henderson. In-state four-star linebacker Daniel Bituli will garner interest, as will four-star cornerback Marquill Osborne.

And then there are players already on Tennessee’s roster who played little to none in 2015. That includes players like quarterback Quinten Dormady, offensive tackle Drew Richmond, cornerback Rashaan Gaulden, and others.

Nothing excites quite like the unknown of talented young players, and the Vols will still have plenty of them in 2016.
