Offensive Line
Tennessee’s improvement along the offensive line continued into the Outback Bowl. Protection was a little shaky early, and Dobbs couldn’t find much running room to start the game. But as the game wore on, the offensive line only got better. The line allowed three sacks on the day but opened up holes for Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara to run through, and they were pivotal in Tennessee totaling 226 rushing yards against Northwestern’s stingy defense. It wasn’t the unit’s best overall game, but it sure wasn’t bad.
