New Year’s Resolutions for Vols Athletics

Win When it Matters Most

Holly Warlick, this one is for you.

Lady Vols head coach Holly Warlick has been criticized a great deal since taking over as head coach after Pat Summitt stepped down in 2012 for not being able to win the most important games on the schedule: the games in March and April. Warlick has won the regular season or conference tournament championship in all three seasons as head coach, but she’s failed to lead the Lady Vols past the Elite Eight since taking over.

Our resolution for Holly Warlick and the Lady Vols is to win the games that matter the most to fans.

Early losses like the Lady Vols have suffered this year can and will be forgiven if the team makes it back to the Final Four or all the way to the National Championship game. But the Lady Vols haven’t made it that far since the 2007-08 season, and Warlick looks like she has a long way to go this year to get this team to that point.

But winning late in March and April is a sure way to get back on the good side of the fan base.
